Stan Whiting

July 7, 1938 - March 8, 2022

Stan Whiting, of Petrolia, passed away at Fiddick’s Nursing Home, Petrolia on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 in his 84th year. Stan was predeceased by his wife Thelma (2018). He will be missed by his children Jim (Rose) Whiting, Al Whiting, Mike (Anne) Whiting, Brenda den Boer, Richard Lloyd, Cindy (Chad) Jacobs, Rob Ravenhorst, and Jeannie (Rejean) Legere, his grandchildren Richard, Crystal (Scott), Steven, Ben, Ashley, Teddy (Keysha), Jessie, Kenny, Samantha, Mark, Billy Jean, Joelle, Nicole, Joshua, and Jonathan, and his many great grandchildren. Stan was predeceased by his siblings Ken Whiting, Betty Dupuis, Leona Frayne, Muriel Frayne, Don (Mary) Whiting, and Ross Whiting. Stan worked for many years as a Mechanic at Hazzard Farm Service and later he retired after working as a social worker at Wawanosh Industries. As a man of deep faith, who had deep love of God. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 11, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Needham-Jay Funeral Home, 4059 Petrolia Line, Petrolia. Visitors will be received prior to the services from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Interment will follow in Hillsdale Cemetery. Masks are required in the funeral home.
