Died suddenly at his home near Petrolia on Wednesday, May 6, 2020. Rudy Krall was in his 86th year. Rudy was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Donna (nee Swan) in 2017. He will be missed by his children Doug (Judy) Krall, Cathy (Dale) Acton, Jim (Sandra) Krall, Sharon (Mike) Stevenson, Lori (Roy) Chapple, and Mike (Dawn) Krall, his grandchildren Anne Krall, Mathew Krall, Jonathan Krall, Stephen Krall, Melissa (Jason) Hughes, Jeff (Carly) Brooker, Erica (Rob) Acton, Brad (Karli) Brooker, Jordan Krall, Spencer Krall, Tyson Krall, Christopher (Alice) Stevenson, Sarah (Jamie) Sidenberg, Jennifer Stevenson, Ryan Chapple, Crystal Chapple, Demi Krall, Stephanie Krall, and Dylan Krall, and his great grandchildren Kohl and Garrison Krall, Jaxon Krall, Ethan and Lexi Brooker, Cole, Mackinley, and Kennedy Hughes, and Elliott Sidenberg. He is also survived by brother John (Margaret) Krall. He was predeceased by an infant son Rudy (1955) and his parents Rudy (1989) and Alvina (2003) Krall. Loved brother-in-law to Janice (Leonard) Weed, Kevin (Liz) Swan (the late Dianne 1992), Marilyn (2015) and Owen Byers, and Cap (Nancy & Doug Coleman) Swan (1999). Rudy spent his life as an egg farmer and business owner of Krall Poultry Farms. He was a faithful member of Shiloh-Inwood United Church and gave generously of his time volunteering in his community. He has been an active member of the Petrolia Lions Club since 1973 and spent endless hours volunteering with Petrolia Minor Hockey, Petrolia Enniskillen Fair Board, Silver Stick and the Ontario Rural Softball Association. The 6th Line Ball Park was dedicated and renamed Krall Park in honour of the families efforts. Rudy was inducted into the Sarnia Lambton Sports Hall of Fame, Builders Award, 2002. Rudy will be remembered for his love of family, the Detroit Red Wings and selling tickets for the latest fundraiser. A service remembering Rudy will be held at a time when it is safe to so. Interment will be in Hillsdale Cemetery.
