Jim Ashton

June 21, 1983 - November 1, 2019

At home on Friday, November 1, 2019, James “Jim” Douglas Ashton passed away at the age of 36. Dearly loved son of Sue and the late Harry (March, 2015) Ashton. Loving brother to Stuart Ashton (Candice Jeffrey) and uncle to Theodore, Jacob, and Elliott and nephew to Chuck and Jo Parr, and Leilah and Don Hord. Predeceased by grandmother Lillian Ashton (Nov. 1996) and grandparents Harry (July, 2009) and Helen (Jan, 2007) Parr. He will be dearly missed by many cousins. Jim was an avid Toronto Sports Fan who loved to golf. He volunteered with Rayjon, Big Brothers of Sarnia Lambton and was a Knights Of Columbus member of Council 10828 and a 4th Degree member of Sarnia Msr. Cook Assembly 0885. Jim found his calling as a PSW during the illness of his father and worked for VON Palliative Care. In his free time he loved the concert circuit and The Tragically Hip. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Philip’s Parish, 415 King St. Petrolia. Interment in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
