Frank "Bud" Brooks
August 28, 1929 - January 24, 2021
On January 24, 2021 at Bluewater Health, Sarnia, Frank Lewis “Bud” Brooks passed away at the age of 91. Beloved husband to Phyllis for 66 years on January 8th. Loved father of Doug (Pauline Freer) Brooks, Dave (Sue) Brooks, and Rob (Angie) Brooks. Grandfather to Lawrence and Tammy Hartley, Randi and Ken Urkhart, Jeff Brooks (Erica), Jesse Brooks (Mike) and Billy Brooks and step grandfather to Mike Freer and Tim Gamble. Great grandfather to Kayden and Carter Urkhart, Alexis Brooks, and Victoria and Joey Hartley. Survived by brother-in-law Bob Berglund (Nancy). Predeceased by his parents Frank and Katherine Brooks, and his siblings Cecil Brooks, Jack Brooks and brother in law Kurt (Marg) Berglund. Bud was a veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #388 in Wyoming. He worked 38 years as a brakeman for CN Rail and for Ron Clarke motors. He was very well known and would cut grass for friends and neighbours. Bud loved to fish in South Hampton every fall before he vacationed in Venice Florida for the winter months. He loved the outdoors and watching wrestling on TV. You could frequently find him at Sam’s restaurant and Bobbies in Wyoming sipping his favourite big cup of coffee. Cremation has taken place and a private interment will take place in Wyoming Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be directed to the Canadian Cancer Society (Cancer.ca).
