Florence Elliott

July 22, 1940 - February 2, 2022

Elliott, Florence Catherine (nee McKay)- passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Charlotte Eleanor Englehart Hospital, Petrolia, at the age of 81. Predeceased by husband Roy Elliott (April 26, 2021). Florence was the loving mother of her daughter Sharon and her husband Andrew Butt and her son Ken Elliott, and grandmother to her granddaughter Piper Elliott. She will be remembered by brother Leroy and wife Stella McKay, her nephew Brian and Andrea McKay and his children Samantha and Logan. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Doreen and husband Jack Smith and her brother-in-law Andrew and wife Marion Elliott and their families. Florence was predeceased by her parents Archie and Reta McKay and her mother and father-in-law Ken and Ena Elliott. Florence was active with Mandaumin United Church, serving as church secretary, UCW member and Sunday school teacher. She was also a prize winning quilter, wedding cake decorator, and was the “Pillow Lady” at the Brigden, Forest and Ilderton steam thresher shows. A private service will be held with burial at Hillsdale Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Kidney Foundation or support your local agricultural society.
