Memorial Allan Adams Thursday, August 05, 1920 - Tuesday, October 14, 2003 ADAMS Peacefully and answering his wish, the family sadly announce the passing of ALLAN KEITH ADAMS, 83 years, of Oakdale, on Monday, October 13, 2003. Born in Plympton Twp., son of the late Richard and Fanny Adams (nee Stewardson), Mr. Adams farmed and had retired from Union Gas (Dawn Plant) after 42 years of service. Much cherished and loved by his wife of 62 years, Evelyn (nee Mitchell). Cherished and much loved father of Dick and Donna Adams of Oakdale, Ken Adams of Blue Point and Terry Giles of Sarnia and Diane and Steve Reed of Oil City. Loving grandfather to eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Loving brother of Marie and Dan Candlish of California. Dear brother-in-law of Grace Adams of Oakdale, Marg McCallum of Petrolia, Gerald Mitchell of Oil Springs, Joanne and Bill Randall of Oil Springs. Predeceased by his sisters, Luella and Ileen Adams, brothers, Harvey and Dalton, and in-laws, Jean and Bill Cascaden, Vivian and Ray Gasco, Ray Mitchell and Mildred Mitchell. Also missed by numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Adams was an Honorary member of the Ontario Harness Horse Association and an Honorary member of Standardbred Canada and a member of O.F.A. Visitors will be received on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the NEEDHAM-JAY FUNERAL HOME, Petrolia, where the funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Don Macpherson of Oakdale United Church officiating. Interment in Oil Springs Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Oakdale United Church or the Kidney Foundation.
