Ruby Viola Tyrie Saturday, June 08, 1912 - Tuesday, July 20, 2010 Peacefully, at Brookside Retirement Home, Watford, on Tuesday, July 20, 2010. RUBY VIOLA TYRIE, 98 years, of Wyoming. Ruby was predeceased by her husband Archie Tyrie (1986). She was a loving mother of Doug and his wife Catherine of Sarnia, Don (Skip) and his wife Thelma of Ottawa, and Shirley Alward and her husband Michael of Hamilton. She was predeceased by her son William Tyrie (2003) and her daughter Doris Nelson (2000). She will be missed by her daughter-in-law Marjorie Tyrie and her son-in-law Don Nelson and his wife Arlene, all of Wyoming. She was loved as “Grandma Ruby” by 14 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren. Ruby was the last surviving child of the late Edgar and Annie Jackson, and was a sister to Grace Dykeman, Tressa Jackson, Harvey Jackson, Alec Jackson, Norman Jackson, and Frank Jackson. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the WYOMING CHAPEL, Broadway St., Wyoming. Visitors will be received from 1:00 p.m. until the service time. Interment in Wyoming Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Canadian Cancer Society. Memories and condolences may be left on-line at www.needhamjay.com.
