Peacefully at C.E.E. Hospital of Bluewater Health, Petrolia on Monday, April 26, 2010. GRANT RANKIN, 87 years, of Petrolia. Grant was a loving husband to Rachel (nee Freeman). He will be missed by his children Beth and Frank Finis, Carol and Philip Hooper, and Barry and Olivia Rankin and his grandchildren Ken Finis, Rebecca Finis, Keith (Roxanne) Hooper and his daughter Jordan, Rachel Rankin, and Diana (Jair) Montoya and their daughter Kaylyn. He will also be missed by his sister Ruby Lederhouse and her children Bryan, Grant, and Lynda. He was predeceased by his parents James and Alta Rankin, a sister Bernice Tuttle, and a brother Keith. A funeral service will be held from the NEEDHAM-JAY FUNERAL HOME, Petrolia on Monday, May 3, 2010 at 12:00 noon. Visitors will be received from 11:00 a.m. until the service at noon. Rev. Harvey Osborne officiating. Interment in Erie Cemetery, Wheatley. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the C.N.I.B. or Canadian Cancer Society.
