At Fiddick’s Nursing Home, Petrolia on Wednesday, April, 7, 2010. Verna Kathleen Young (nee Allen), 88 years, of Petrolia and formerly of Sandy Cove and Toronto. Verna was predeceased by her husband Randy (2010). She was a loving mother to Ron Young and his wife Alice of Petrolia and Rick Young and his wife Deborah of Markham. She will be missed by her grandchildren Holly, Tyler, Eric, and Jason. Verna was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Tilly Allen and her sister Thelma Moulton. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 11, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. at the NEEDHAM-JAY FUNERAL HOME, 4059 Petrolia Line, Petrolia. Visitors will be received beginning at 1:00 p.m. until the service time at 1:30 p.m. There will also be a memorial visitation held at Paul O’Connor Funeral Home, 1939 Lawrence East, Scarborough (between Warden and Pharmacy) on Saturday, April 10, 2010. Visitation 2 p.m., followed by a service at 3 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the C.E.E. Hospital Foundation.
