Peacefully at Bluewater Health – Mitton Site, Sarnia, on Sunday, March 14, 2010. ELAINE HEXT (nee Scott), 71 years, of Petrolia. Dear daughter of the late Tom and Mildred Scott. Beloved wife of Thomas. Loving mother of Tracy and John Steadman of Wyoming, Dan and Mary Jo of Kanata, Larry and Jessica of Petrolia, and Rod and Jane of Ottawa. Cherished grandmother of Craig and Cory Steadman and Brandon, Austin, Mackinlay, Gracynn, Sarah and Becky Hext. Dear sister of Wilma and the late Bob Buckley of Trail, B.C., Shirley and Gord Webber of Grafton, Bob and Carol Scott of Salt Spring Island, B.C. and Gary and Ann Scott of Bolton. Dear sister-in-law of Sherri and the late George (2003) Hext of Petrolia. Visitors will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the NEEDHAM-JAY FUNERALHOME, Petrolia, where the complete funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Robert M. Gibson officiating. Interment of cremated remains in Hillsdale Cemetery.
