Peacefully at Lambton Meadowview Villa, on Tuesday, January 5, 2010. RUTH WHITWELL (nee Murray), 94 years, of Petrolia. Loving mother of Winnifred Purnell of Petrolia, Gordon and Diane Whitwell of White Lake, Merlin and Nicole Whitwell of Kincardine, and the late George Whitwell (2001). Also survived by eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Dear sister of May Esplen of Port Elgin. A funeral service to celebrate Ruth’s life will be held at the NEEDHAM-JAY FUNERAL HOME, Petrolia on Friday, January 8, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Kari Lylander officiating. Interment in Avondale Cemetery, Stratford. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the New Life Assembly Building Fund, the Salvation Army or a charity of your choice.
