Gordon Parsons

After a short illness, Gordon passed away at C.E.E. Hospital of Bluewater Health, Petrolia on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at the age 88. Predeceased by his parents Gladys Louis Satherley (born Cornwall, England) and William Goldsworthy Parsons (born South Stack Light, Anglesly Island) and brother-in-law Bob Mills of Wheatley. Gordon was born in Pontywain, Wales. He is sadly missed by wife Bonnie and son Billy. His daughter Betty Lou and Bill Hyatt of Windsor and granddaughter Kim and Scott and Samantha Cave of Belle River. His sister Margaret Mills and her friend John of Wheatley, and her sons Tom and June of Wheatley and Jeff and Barb and their sons Greg and Kevin of London. A legion memorial service preceded the private funeral service, which was held at the NEEDHAM-JAY FUNERAL HOME, Petrolia on Thursday, October 22, 2009. Father Antonio Del Ciancio officiated. Interment was in Hillsdale Cemetery. Gordon served his country in the Royal Canadian Engineers – 11th Field Co. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the C.E.E.
