Gordon Russell Anderson, 87 years, of Petrolia and formerly of R.R.#1 Brigden and Sarnia. Loving husband of Edna (nee Bailey). Loved father of Elsie and Earl Hyatt of Brigden, Carol and Luke St. Pierre of Oil City, and June and David West of Prince George, British Columbia. Beloved grandfather to seventeen grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Dear brother of Keith and Anna Anderson, Leona and Ray Ward both of Oil Springs. Brother-in-law to Donna Anderson of Oil Springs and Vivian Bailey of Petrolia. Great nephew to Helen Gurr of Sarnia. Predeceased by great grandchildren Danny Holmes(1997), Briana Batty(1997), and brother Bill Anderson. Visitors will be received on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the Needham-Jay Funeral Home, Petrolia where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday September 22, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Gwyn Tucker of Brigden United Church officiating. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the C.E.E. Hospital Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
