At his home in Oil City on Saturday, January 30, 2010. Rick Ferriss, 60 years. Rick is a loving husband of Darlene Fisher, father of Robert and Jodi Ferriss of Petrolia and Jaclyn Ferriss of Sarnia, his step-children John and Jennifer Carpenter of Petrolia, Charlie Fisher of Inwood, Joe...
and Andrea Fisher of Oil Springs, and Carolyn Fisher of Petrolia and his fifteen grandchildren. He will also be missed by his brothers Barry and Verna Vennell of Petrolia and Dennis and Gayle Vennell of Amherstburg and his sisters Janet and George Antle of Sarnia and Carol and Jim Wagner of Oil City. Rick was a son-in-law of Vivian Bailey of Petrolia. He was predeceased by his much loved mother Margret Ferriss (2004). Visitors will be received on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Needham-Jay Funeral Home, Petrolia where a funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Darryl Price of New Life Assembly officiating. Interment in Oil City Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Bluewater Health Foundation (Cancer Clinic).
