At Fiddick’s Nursing Home, Petrolia on Thursday, July 30, 2009. William T. (Bill) Abraham, 85 years, of Petrolia. Bill was a loving husband to the late Dorothy (nee Graham)(2008). Loved father to Tom Abraham and Debra McAlpine of Petrolia and the late David (1973). He will be missed by...
his grandchildren Jessica Abraham and Ron Holland, Geoffrey Abraham and Niki Chamaillard, Sarah Abraham and Chris Williams and Rhonda and Wade Hunter, his great grandchildren, Taten, Justin, Jordan, Brandon, Michael, Tristan, and Liam. Dear brother of Betty and Jim Creech of Blaine, Washington and the late Merle Worden, John Abraham, and Robert Corrigan. Bill was a very active member of the Petrolia community. He was a member of St. Paul’s United Church, was a past president and a honorary member of the Petrolia Rotary Club and a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International, a past president and director of the Petrolia-Enniskillen Agricultural Society, a past president of Lambton Elderly Outreach, and served as the Agricultural Representative in Lambton County from 1958 to 1983. Visitors will be received on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the NEEDHAM-JAY FUNERAL HOME, Petrolia. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Bill Abraham will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Paul’s United Church, Petrolia. Mrs. Jessie Dobbyn officiating. Interment in Hillsdale Cemetery, Petrolia. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made by cheque to St. Paul’s United Church, the Rotary Foundation (www.trfcanada.org), or the C.E.E.
