At Bluewater Health – Mitton Site, Sarnia on Wednesday, February 21, 2007. VIOLET “MAE” TANNER, 86 years, of Petrolia. Loving wife of Lee Tanner. Beloved mother of Helen and Gord Butler of Sarnia, the late Joanne and Charles (1992) Latimer, and the late Jim Armstrong(2000) and his wife...
Louise and step-mother of Larry and Judy Tanner of Sarnia, Linda Walker of Sarnia, and Sandra and Kenneth McInnis of Chatsworth. She will be lovingly remembered by sixteen grandchildren, thirty-six great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren. She is survived by a brother Sid McLean of Petrolia and Orillia Northcott of Dresden. She was predeceased by three grandsons, a brother John, and sisters Matilda, Kate, Jennie, and Joyce. Visitors will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the NEEDHAM-JAY FUNERAL HOME, Petrolia where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Dr. Robert M. Gibson officiating. Interment in Hillsdale Cemetery, Petrolia. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the C.E.E.
