  • Mrs. Gaunt, I'm sorry to read of the passing of Mr. Gaunt. I have several memories of your visits to my parents place to either store your boat or to pick it up! Also, I still have a rock with 'Tobermory' written on it from our visit to your cottage one year! Condolences to yourself and the family. Dean Melton

  • John, Jean, Marilyne, & I hunted deer together for many years-then spent many hours discussing our escapades No one knew the bush better than Johnny. John shared many stories & much wisdom with our girls & their families. We spent many hours boating and picnicing on deserted islands together. We will always cherish these memories of our wonderful times together.

  • My husband and I have known Johnny and Jean for over 30 years. They lived in Hay Bay and Johnny always introduced himself as the Mayor of Hay Bay. Johnny also use to introduce Jean as his first wife. We spent many wonderful years snowmobiling together and they were the perfect sub-grandparents to our children. I will always remember Johnny's kindness and fabulous sense of humour. He touched our lives in a positive way and we were richer for it. We will all miss him and we send our condolences to Jean and his many nieces and nephews.
