  • There is not enough space to tell of all the beautiful memories I have of our Aunt...our "Angel Auntie". It seems every time there were troubles or just kind gestures toward us, she gave me an angel to remember her by. She loved to celebrate birthdays and cherished us all as her nieces and nephews and family. She had numerous "Munchie's friends that she daily visited them at her morning coffee times while living in Petrolia. She was a business woman for many years in the Eaton's order office of Petrolia and she was our famous family "Avon Lady" that I will never forget. We frequented many restaurants to eat out whenever we visited her in Sarnia. She loved to shop and eat out! In my soul, I believe my Auntie was a "Woman of Grace" and I know she has made her presence known in Heaven already with her handsome husband Jack and their beautiful son Kenneth. They are reunited again in a special place where her family celebration for Christmas will be with her brothers and sister, just like the olden days on that Racher farm on Marthaville Road. You will rest in peace my Angel Auntie on "Eagles wings....and He will raise you up and hold you in the palm of His Hand".We will always honor you and cherish your memory Aunt Betty.... Rest in Peace! Joyce, you carry your Mom in your heart forever now. God bless you all.Families are forever....Pat and Norm.

  • Joyce, When I think of Aunt Betty, memories of Wendy and I spending our summer holidays in the ‘60’s at your house on Robert St. in Petrolia. Those days were some of my happiest memories. Aunt Betty never forgot a birthday and it was always a thrill to receive a card in the mail or a homemade birthday cake decorated all up with our name on it. The smell of “perked” coffee always brings me back to days at your house, as she always had a pot of coffee on the stove and a pitcher of Freshie in the fridge. Her and Uncle Jack played many a game of euchre at our house with mom and dad. Most recently, I marvelled at how she was able to keep her spirits so high. I enjoyed each and every visit I made to her apartment talking about days gone by and her outlook on life in general. You have always been her pride and joy Joyce, and she “always” told me how much she appreciated everything you did for her. You kept life “normal” for her, even in the chaotic state of her own health. She will be sadly missed by us all, but I know she is now resting peacefully, free from all the pain she has had to endure over the past few years. Please know that although I can't be there, I will be thinking about you. Love, Colleen
