We always had so much fun - and you and Larry offered such encouragement to us "kids." Larry never stopped being a teacher, and whether it was technical tips or stories about golf's more important lessons, he always had sound words of advice. Deepest sympathies to you and your family, and prayers that many great memories of Larry will help you through this time.

  • Heartfelt Condolences Posted by Paul Allen (Friend & Colleague) On Tuesday, December 20, 2011 Just learned of Larry's passing. "Church" was a special man & an exceptional athlete. Long remembered as a star quarterback, great basketball player, and a terrific golfer. But, most of all, Larry will be remembered by his colleagues, friends, and students as a quality person with a legendary sense of humour. I'm glad I had the opportunity to spend memorable times with him in his way too short life. Larry..may you have many birdies and your usual number of pars on heaven's courses.
